Hey guys, I just stumbled across 'Watchdog', a new tweak to enable backgrounding on iOS 8.x! For me, a lack of a backgrounding tweak was the reason I refused to upgrage my 5s from iOS 7 to iOS 8! After buying my iPhone 6, obviously I had no choice and have since been missing true backgrounding capabilities, so I was very pleased to find this tweak! Watchdog is currently in Alpha stage but after testing briefly it seems to work quite well which is promising , although it lacks some features, it is still early days and I'm sure the dev has plans on adding additional features, well lets hope so!
To activate backgrounding, tap on the icon for the app you want to background while in the app switcher, you will notice a small red + symbol appear next to the apps icon, indicating that the app has been backgrounded.

The + symbol will also be present next to the backgrounded apps icon on the springboard!

If an app is backgrounded, it will auto launch after a restart/respring if the app wasn't deselected in the app switcher first
